Need more info : If from an abscess, yes. If antibiotics don't work, need re-evaluation.

Need more info: Ultrasound can see evidence of increased blood flow or soft tissue edema, signs of inflammation or infection. Was the mass painful? Your description is concerning. If the antibiotics do not work in the next couple of weeks, please seek additional medical assistance to find out what is the cause of your large hard palpable mass. Do not ignore it!
