Need a diagnosis: Numbness is a symptom, not an explanation. Several possible considerations including carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome, cervical radiculopathy. See a physiatrist or neurologist, maybe get an emg, and then get this treated. All of the above causes can readily be managed.
