Hello, i was diagnosed a few years ago with neck arthritis. can this cause me to have tight neck muscles. my problem is i've been having bouts of extreme fatigue, need to rest. could this be the muscle?

Possibly: Arthritis can certainly produce tight neck muscles. Whether this is related to your fatigue is questionable. To determine the cause for these episodes you will need a full detailed evaluation by a clinician. Start with your pcp and go from there. Good luck.

Muscle weakness: Pinched nerves in the neck may cause numbness, as well as weak muscles.

It may but realize: That this is essentially a universal finding on imaging by age 50 in men and fairly common but not as involved in.Women this age unless they smoke. Most cause no symptoms but they can lead to a sensation of tight neck muscles but not the other symptoms you describe.
