Estrogen blocker: Clomid (clomiphene) acts by blocking estrogen receptors. These receptors are present in many parts of the body, including the brain & the lining of the uterus (endometrium). Without estrogen, the endometrium thins out. It doen't affect the other layers of the uterus, so your uterus won't "burst open." Once you stop Clomid (clomiphene), the endometrium will return to normal.
