Abcess: The lesion should resolve once the treatment is completed. It takes anywhere from 3-6 months for the bone to heal in. Sometimes, if the infection has been present long enough to create scar tissue, a second procedure may be necessary.

Smaller is good but: Only time will tell if you will get complete resolution of the infection. I'm not sure what you are referring to when you san 'part one' of my rct. Was the rct completed? What was the prognosis given to you by your dentist? This needs to be monitored for about 3 months (or longer) in order to know if the rct will be successful or other treatment is indicated.
