A member asked:

Hi, i'm 21, orthostatic tachy. i need to give a talk for uni but my hr is already fast and some stress makes it worse, up to 180 bpm. what can i do?

Rapid heartbeat: At a pulse of 180, it is lucky you did not pass out. Go to an er and have yourself evaluated asap. You may have a supraventricular tachycardia (svt), hyperthyroidism, atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter. Go to an er and get an answer to your problem and a treatment plan to control or prevent it. Good luck.
