Im 21 weeks pregnant, is it safe to take augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) 875mg?

Pregnancy Category B: Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is pregnancy category b (http://www.Drugs.Com/augmentin.Html) & therefore is not considered harmful to fetus. However, you always need to tell prescribing physician that you're pregnant so that s/he can help you determine if medication/procedure risk is worth benefit (why do you need augment?), much less safe for you & fetus.
