Testosterone/cancer: I can't make specific recommendations for you friend, but i sense your question is the following: is taking testosterone (t) safe in prostate cancer? The answer is, generally, yes. Unless someone has metastatic disease that needs to be treated with androgen deprivation therapy, a normal physiologic level of testosterone is okay. If t is being given, levels must be checked to ensure its not high.
