Cold injury: Chilblains or frostbite is caused by cold injury from being in extreme cold without proper protection for the hands and feet.People with vascular disease, raynuds syndrom, bergers disease and neuropathy could be more prone to frostbite.It is important to wear shoes , socks and gloves that are warm and waterproof.
