Chilblains: Are thermal injuries resulting from extended exposure to the cold and humidity in predisposed individuals. The pathology results from freezing of capillaries in the skin. There is erythema, itching, and burring in those parts affected. In severe cases area can become blistered or ulcerated. With proper treatment affected areas can heal in 1-2 weeks.
