Yes: Esophageal cancer that involves the lining of the esophagus can be bloody or bleed. That blood can then come up the esophagus. Depending on its location it may move up and be noticeably more than other locations.

Yes: But obstruction is more usual and surface bleeding of small amounts goes down and if enough may turn stools black, and cause anemia.
