Is it normal for someone who used to have esophageal cancer to spit up blood every once and a while?

Spitting blood: In a word, no! these signs should be evalulated carefully for 1) recurrence of cancer; 2) how much blood is being lost; 3) what other physical findings there are. Finally, the cause of the blood, whether another cancer or another cause, must be determined.

No: Needs evaluation. Esophageal cancer is difficult and pernicious! needs reevaluation and possible ct scans or endoscopy.
