A member asked:

When a person has high sugar levels then are they also given glucose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally not: They are given fluids and mediation, often insulin. If they have ketoacidosis, however, they may be given glucose and Insulin together to metabolize the ketones out of the blood stream.
