Is it possible to die from blood loss from cutting the veins on your wrists?

Probably not.: There are two types of blood vessels in the wrists-arteries and veins. Arteries are high pressure and if these are cut, one can exsanguinate from continued high flow bleeding (pulsating). Veins are low pressure and will usually cause low flow bleeding (trickling). Venous bleeding can be controlled by direct pressure but arterial bleeding is more difficult to stop. Either can cause blood loss.
