A member asked:

I have a corpus luteal cyst. it's apparently dissolving, and for over a week have been causing sharp pelvic discomfort on both sides, normal?

Yes: I'm assuming someone performed an ultrasound and told you, you have a cyst that will or has ruptured? Sharp pelvic pain can definitely be associated with ruptured cysts. If you haven' had an ultrasound, that would be something to consider. A week is a long time to have pain, typically it does resolve and get better. If still in a lot of pain, i think it's worth a repeat trip to see your doctor.
