Yes: If your pain is significant, you should see your hcp and get an ultrasound. It is not unusual for a patient to develop a hemorrhagic cyst (cyst filled with blood) that can be quite painful, especially if it ruptures. There is a condition known as persistent corpus luteum that can explain symptoms of abdominal and pelvic discomfort !
