No risk of infection: Non draining wound seals off in 48 hrs , not permeable to bacteria . It is 21 days you will not get infections from out side , wash the area , if you want put a band aid , call your doctor for a follow up visit.

Normal: By 3 weeks all steri-strips should likely be off by now. No further bandaging is needed. Call your surgeon to discuss your concerns.
