Tough choice: At 22 weeks, the size of the babies makes it moderately unlikely that it is the baby pushing out, but it might be possible. At 22 weeks, there are contractions in parts of the uterus (rather than all over like they are at the end of pregnancy), so i would lean in the direction of a partial uterine contraction. There is no way to be sure without an ultrasound at the time it happens (it's not needed.
