Hysteroscopy: Don't be terrified. The scope goes through the cervix which is insensate! you would feel some tugging and pulling and some pressure like sensation but otherwise no sharp pain. Afterwards a mild analgesia should suffice.

Pain threshold: Everyones pain tolerance is different. It is difficult to determine how you will feel. Or if you will even feel pain. The pain is usually described as a discomfort more so. You can always ask for anesthesia or pain medication. Discuss risks benefits side effects and concerns with your physician.

Fear of procedure: My colleagues have shared about the various sensations you might or might not experience. It sounds like the anticipation is making this much worse for you, when your doctor is very skilled at doing this procedure with the least discomfort to you. When patients are very fearful, some Ativan (lorazepam) or other benzo may do wonders to help. Please ask your doctor for help with this part. Be well.
