Not the best: Long term management of anxiety is more possible with one of the ssri meds like zoloft or lexapro (escitalopram). Ativan can help when used occasionally (not daily) in emergency situations. A good goal for Ativan might be no more than 2-3 x/week.

Ativan (lorazepam): Only temporary relief of symptoms (bandaid effect). Your doctor needs to work with u on exploring the cause and treating that.
