Preservative free: Drops are usually better for the eyes with moderate to severe dry eyes. Systane and refresh both have preservative free preparations. Restasis is important to treat the source of dry eyes- inflammation.

Yes: You can use them daily long term unless you have irritation as a result of the drops, in which case you should go to a non-preserved formulation.
