Eczema treatment: Beside oral antihistamine (claritin, zyrtec, (cetirizine) allergra...) to control itch, there are no safe long term systemic medication. Eczema is a disease of skin inflammation and super infection. Topical medications work best and it has less side effects. Keep your skin moist all the time by applying moisturizer generously after a shower or bath. See a doctor for antibiotic if there is signs of infection.
