Multiple ways: Deep breathing exercises and progressive relaxation help. Yoga, meditation, long walks, are all ways that help most people. There are books which can help you to learn coping with anxiety, see psychiatrist as there are meds that help and can help control your anxiety. Seeing a therapist is helpful in learning to deal with and cope with anxiety as well. There is help out there if you ask for it.

Severe anxiety : Sometimes severe anxiety will not due down without the addition of an antipsychotic medication. This is not to say that you are suffering from psychosis. Your psychiatrist will know which ones I am referring to . Also, if generalized anxiety is present, Buspar (buspirone) can help. While continuing your medications you may also wish to look into herbal treatments and acupuncture. Cymbalta may need increase.

Cognitive therapy assists the individual with learning new thoughts/perceptions that are evidence-based. Am i being truthful with myself? Is this a big deal? Behavior therapy provides exposure to the feared entity generalized (across situations) or specific (heights) to reduce anxiety.
