Anything or nothing : Plastic in the airway can be life threatening and requires urgent evaluation by a specialist. It's not safe to "wait and see". There aren't always symptoms. If symptoms are to be present, they can include cough, shortness of breath, voice change, fever, asthma-like attack, pneumonia-type picture or respiratory distress.
