Doc needs to look: I'm wondering if you actually know that you ingested a piece of plastic or if you have looked in your throat, it is soar, and you see a white speck on one of your tonsils? If the latter is the case, we call that an "exudate" and it may be the start of a soar throat. Let your doc take a peek.

Globus pharyngeus: Globus pharyngeus is the sensation of something stuck in your throat. It isn't likely that you still have something stuck, but irritation from food (plastic?) going down in a rough way can cause globus. If you have good insurance, it's reasonable to see an ENT or GI doc now- otherwise wait and it will likely go away in a couple of days.
