Depends on symptoms: If just having a sensation of a little piece of plastic in the throat, one can call her primary care doctor to see if that doctor wants to take a look, or wants the patient go straight to an ENT doctor to look into the throat. If having trouble breathing, talking, or swallowing, then it is safer to call 911 and have the ambulance take a person to the ER, instead of driving in a private car.

Things to ponder: Three days is a long time. In that 3 days you have likely drank fluids & eaten several times. You may have scratched a place in your throat & developed a sore but the chances of a small piece of plastic hanging up are miniscule. Contact your doc during regular hours & see if they want to see you or send you to an ENT. If you haven't eaten or drank go to an ER.
