It depends: Some psychiatrists don't like to be told they're wrong. :-) carefully assess the situation in order to know how best to share your thoughts. Most psychiatrists are very open to hearing patients' viewpoints, since this is vital to treatment anyway. Share your specific reasons for disagreement. Be aware, though, that some mental illnesses disturb insight -- & your doctor may still not agree.

Psychiatry: You should feel comfortable expressing your opinion and stating how you feel on a certain topic, express your views about what you disagree rather than just saying he/she is wrong.
