Resources: The national alliance for the mentally ill (nami.Org) is a great resource for information. They also sponsor peer support systems for families of bipolar individuals. You can also consult bpso.Org. (bipolar significant other) for very helpful information and tips. I often suggest a family member make an appointment with me (minimum of 30 min)so i can discuss the illness and answer questions.
