Daytime shifts: I don't think you should worry about jobs tailored to you based on having a mental illness. As long as you are diagnosed and treated, aim high, like anyone else! having said that given the close correlation of bipolar disorder with poor sleep, i would certainly avoid jobs with fluctuating shifts esp fluctuating between day and night shifts.

Jobs: When looking for a job, it is important to consider the stress level it will entail and if you will be able to get sufficient sleep. High amounts of stress can cause a relapse in symptoms. Having a regular sleep schedule is important to keep one's symptoms stable. Working swing shift or very long hours could adversely affect your sleep and potentially trigger an episode.
