A viral illness...: ...Spread by mosquitos. Most common symptoms are fever, joint pain, and general malaise. Since it is a virus there is no definitive treatment other than bedrest. Some doctors advise tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen for the fever, while others say it has no effect. Children typically recover within one to two weeks.

Chikungunya: Chikungunya is a viral illness that is transmitted by mosquito bites. According to the World Health Organization, possible sx's of Chikungunya include: fever, marked muscle & joint pain, headache, nausea, fatigue & rash. Although there can be cardiac, neurological & ocular complications, it may also be mild in presentation.
