Is chikungunya contagious??? does it spread?? if yes how does it spread?? does it spread from person to person??? how can that be prevented??

Mosquito transmitted: Chikumgunya is a virus which causes a febrile illness lasting two to five days followed by a longer period of joint pain. It is transmitted by two species of mosquitos. The virus survives in the reservoir of monkeys, birds, cattle & rodents. It does not seem to spread from person to person. The most effective prevention is protection from mosquitoes & mosquito control.
