When a man has cerebral contusion, what does it mean?

Bruise of the brain: Contusion means bruise. There may be scattered bleeding or some surrounding swelling. This can be minor or very serious depending upon the extent and location of the contusion. All such patients should be hospitalized as the swelling may increase in the days after the injury and lead to serious problems.

Brain bruise: Trauma to the head can result in a bruise to the brain. A bruise to the brain is a contusion.
