Concussion: Concussion is usually a result of a blow to the head, which causes swelling of the underlying area of the brain, which causes, usually temporary, malfunction of that part of the brain. Usually symptoms resolve completely in 2-6 weeks. In some cases a long-term seizure disorder can result and you may not know for months to years.
