Yes: This can be discussed with the optician who makes your glasses and has access to glass of higher uv blocking capacity. Clip ons usually do not provide that high a blockage; you will need a glass fabricated with internal filter of the proper strength. Take the prescription you got from your ophthalmologist and discuss this with the optician.
