getting pain in front middle left chest that stretches to lower rear back. only happen when breathing in, stretching. feels like torn muscle.

Costochondritis?: Inflammation of a rib, usually only on one side, that is increased by inspiration is treatable. A pulled muscle should respond spontaneously. So depending on how long its been bothering you, you should see your doctor and get evaluated and treated.
