No. : Temporal arteritis is what would cause thickening and results inflammation of the blood vessels in the body. If untreated it can lead to blockages or aneurysms of the arteries. Temporal arteritis can lead to blindness in severe cases. Typical symptoms include headache and tenderness over the temporal artery, which is found along the hairline near the temple of your head. Treatment is with steroid.
