Heartburn medication: If you haven't taken your heartburn medication in a few days, there's no reason why you can't start back up again. If you're bad a remembering to take your medications, consider setting a daily alarm as a reminder. Btw, advil (ibuprofen) & similar nsaids can make heartburn worse.

Yes: Certain medications like Nexium (esomeprazole) have an fda indication to be taken on as needed basis and do not require you to always take them daily.
