Herpes: Yes. But there is no way to quantify your contagiousness. Most people with herpes do not have outbreaks. The viral shedding that we now know happens even without outbreaks can be significantly varying in frequency and intensity. If your partner is negative you may want to stay on or get on medications to suppress the viral shedding.
