No studies so far: There are no studies looking at drug drug interaction of the two, however ashwagandha's steroidal content is touted as potent ingredient which may cause irritability and instability in mood.

Ashwagandha & Prozac (fluoxetine): Ashwagandha (withania somnifera) has been used in ayurvedic medicine for hundreds of years as an "adaptogen" -- an herb given to help the body resist physiological and psychological stress. It may have both anxiolytic and antidepressant activity http://tinyurl.Com/lexzv5f but there are no interactions with antidepressants such as prozac (fluoxetine).
