What happens if someone has a rod in their leg who is unable to life their big toe because of a small amount of nerve?

Rephrase ?: Not sure exactly what you mean. The rod in your leg should not affect your big toe unless there was some damage to the nerve, muscle or tendon at the time of injury. Perhaps you just need more time to heal.
