Exercise & nutrition: See your doctor to help you know what might be things to do or not with respect to exercise & diet. Then, if it is difficult, talk with a diet coach to help you stay on target - there are great groups in many areas. Good luck.

Well, first it needs: To be established if you have a clinical depression or if this is limited to feelings of sadness. A psychiatric evaluation would do that. Medications may or may not be medically indicated. Lifestyle changes can help. Talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully.

Check with doc...: To make sure that your weight gain is not related to a medical problem, like under active thyroid, which can also be associated with depression/sadness, fatigue, etc. Make sure meds are not the culprit. Find out what is the issue, to start on the proper rx.
