I've been taking periorx for a few months for swollen gums and now i have white patches on my upper right gums! why is this happening?

Let your Dr. know: You may be using the medication too often or for too long a period each time you rinse. The white patches are usually from a chemical assault to the surface tissue. It should resolve in 7-10 days after discontinuing the product.

Chlorhexidine: Most likely some sort of reaction to the mouth rinse. Call you doctor and have it looked at.
