I just had a gingivectomy yesterday, is it normal for my gums to be swollen? they looked so nice yesterday and now they look how they did before

Gingivectomy: As with any surgical procedure, there is the risk of post treatment swelling which peaks in the 24 to 48 hr range, Im sure your DDS gave you post treatment instructions and guidance on what to expect

Healing process: Your gum tissue may be swollen for a day or two and as it heals, the tissue has a whitish/gray appearance. This is a normal healing process. Take care.
