Gum disease: In most situations, the surgery is done endoscopically without the need for external incisions. If this is the case, it takes up to 3 to 5 days to feel completely back to normal. Swollen and sore gums is a sign that you are already have a gum disease. This is a serious problem, which should be treated by a dentist. Get well soon.
