Remission should not: Be seriously considered. It is not curable, but it is treatable. Statistics state for stage 4 non small cell, 50% of patients die by 8 months, and only 10% are alive at 5 years. However, how an individual does is based on many factors - age, available treatment options, genetic factors. Please see an oncologist for a discussion of your particular situation, to allow your care to be optimized.
