Complete the workup: What is true: mammogram was not completely normal (ncreased density). You need additional testing to try to determine the cause and significance of the finding. If a new finding, first step would be spot mammograms and an ultrasound of the area, not waiting 6 months. Mri may also be helpful, but a biopsy may eventually be necessary to look at the cells under a microscope and make the diagnosis.

Needs further images: There should have been an ultrasound done at the time of the follow-up mammogram. If not, that should be done now. If something was seen on the mammogram, it needs to be worked up with additional mammo images, a sonogram and sometimes even a breast MRI study.
