Lorazepam: Lorazepam can be given for acute anxiety, panic attacks, etc. Your symptom picture is consistent with this, and i'm guessing your er doctor who examined you & ran any tests may have thought this too. When they discharge you from the er, they usually instruct you to follow up with your family doctor or psychiatrist if you have one. Further eval and treatment are possible for you w/your own doctors.
