OTC PainPreparations: contain 1 or more of 4 active ingredients: (a) acetylsalicylic acid (aka ASA, aspirin), (b) acetominophen (e.g. Tylenol), (c) ibuprophen (e.g. Advil) &/or (d) naproxen (e.g. Aleve). Always look at the fine print for these. Problems: ASA ↓es blood clotting; a, c & d ↑ bleeding stomach/small bowel (Dose&Freq. of use related); b ↑es liver failure (D&F related), c & d kidney failure (D&F related)
