Means nothing alone: The ESR is often done wrong anyway -- our lab once had all-high sed rates because of a jackhammer operator across the street -- and in the absence of symptoms / signs of possible undiagnosed disease is of no value. The same is true of most other labs. If your physicain is not worried, you shouldn't be either.
