Does stripping membranes at 38 weeks pregnant work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but..: 'stripping membranes' also runs the risk of induced rupture of the membranes. If you don't then go into spontaneous labor over a short period of time, infection to the baby can result as well as the need for labor induction' with drugs. Talk to your OB md and express your 'birth plan' desires.
